Across the road from the apartment is an excellently stocked new HDL supermarket. It has all the basics you may need. However, if it is a more extensive shop that you require, we recommend the large VOLI Hyper which is located past the airport, around the circle, and on the right-hand side of the Budva Road. The smaller VOLI in Porto Montenegro is very useful and for a special treat, Porto Kali Deli in Porto Montenegro has some wonderful foods that you can't find anywhere else.

There are a number of well known car rental agencies at Tivat Airport but we always use Sasa from DAX Rent A Car Tivat who can be contacted via WhatsApp +382 69 442665. He speaks perfect English, is always helpful, and will deliver the car and be waiting for you at either Podgorica or Tivat airports or the apartment. Their prices are substantially cheaper than other companies at the airport and we have always had great vehicles. In Montenegro, where the roads can be VERY narrow, we always take the full-no-excess insurance for our own peace of mind.

The nearest Tourist Office is located 400metres from the apartment. Turn left as you exit the building and walk to the first road on your left which is at the water's edge. The Tourist Office is the first building on your left at the intersection. They have excellent maps and brochures about Montenegro. This office, or others which can be found in Tivat and Porto Montenegro is where Tourist Tax must be paid by all visitors. The management team will do this for you upon arrival, unless you arrive after hours, in which case you MUST go to the Tourist Office within 24 hours of arrival, with your passport and Airbnb booking confirmation, and pay EURO 1 per day per adult.

Orabella Beauty Centre is located 50metres away from the entrance to our building. Turn left as you exit and cross the road. We have used them extensively for cuts, colouring and mani/pedi and always been happy with the results.

We recommend that your first stop if seeking medical treatment is at the hospital nearby. In Montenegrin a hospital is called "Dom Zdravlja". In English it is called Tivat Health Center and is located 2kms from the apartment. Turn right and drive towards the airport. after the first circle on Jadranska Magistrala you will pass a school and a park. At the EKO filling station, the Dom Zdravlja is on your right-hand side but you need to drive to the circle, turn right, then first right and first right again to go around the block, because at the EKO, the road is a one-way street and you can't turn right there.

Montenegro has the cheapest data we have found anywhere. All service providers offer a tourist package for either 15 or 30 days with 500gig or 1Tb of data for Euro15 or Euro20. They can be bought from any Tabac shop at the airport or in town or from the telecom provider shops located in Tivat. We have found MTel to be excellent.
